This statement print showcases the abstraction of two red door knobs, suspended in a vortex of blue water. A viewer may get the sense of physics at play. These knobs are in a state of constant turning and lifting. Some doors lead you to your destiny and others change your destiny. The choice is yours. These door knobs originate from French engravings of popular fashionable designs of the time.

As a conceptual digital artist I was inspired to create the brand Design by Authority to showcase mixed media artworks... I imagine my interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. I use references and ideas that are so integrated into the process of the composition of the work that they may escape those who do not take the time to explore how and why these images resonate with the viewer, like a good film, long after you’ve seen them.
